Job Summary

A Dharra Jobs client from the nutraceutical, chemical, and flavour sectors seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Professional with over 5 years of experience. The role focuses on strategic sourcing of botanical raw materials and procurement of specialized packaging, emphasizing quality assurance and vendor performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and procure botanicals such as herbs, roots, seeds, spices, and extracts for production.
• Manage purchasing of industry-compliant packaging including bottles, pouches, cartons, and labels.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and long-term contracts with domestic and international vendors.
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Evaluate vendor performance using audits and KPIs, focusing on on-time delivery and defect rates.
• Align procurement schedules with manufacturing forecasts to optimize stock and reduce inventory excess.
• Resolve supply chain issues by liaising between suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to identify supplier alternatives and mitigate risks.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in procurement within nutraceutical, chemical, or flavour industries.
• Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory documentation like COAs, MSDS, GMP, FSSAI, and FDA.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, and advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Strong skills in cost negotiation, contract management, and vendor evaluation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal QA/QC and manufacturing teams.
