Purchase – Manager (Ayurveda)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Purchase Manager specializing in Ayurveda to oversee procurement activities within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of Ayurvedic principles, herbal medicines, and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely sourcing, purchasing, and management of Ayurvedic herbs, medicines, and related supplies.

Job description

• Source and procure high-quality raw materials for ayurvedic product manufacturing
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with respective departments to forecast raw material requirements and manage inventory.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in the procurement process.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of ayurvedic raw materials based on quality, reliability, and ethical sourcing practices 
• Conduct negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements.
• Draft and finalize contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions meet company requirements and mitigate risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Continuously assess vendor performance and conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to mitigate risk.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient acquisition of ayurvedic raw materials.
• Analyze purchasing data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and innovation.
• Generate regular reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and savings achieved.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to align raw material sourcing strategies with product development plans and regulatory requirements.
